have 1988 ford bronco 2 2.9 it will run then after few miles will shut off then will start back up
changed the fuel filter was bad and put cleaner in the tank but drove it about
10miles on the way back it shut off the few mins fired back up
Sounds like the ignition control module is overheating than when it cools down will start.
well Icm has been replaced
Have you checked to see if it has fuel pressure ?
yes it will run fine for awhile then it will shudder and then stall and only takes about min will start back up run ok
Also maybe the sock filter in the gas tank with the pump could be getting clogged.
not sure if it is and it only been happen when real hot out too and if u take the gas cap off it has press. blow gas fumes but has been doing this for awhile not sure why
The only way to be for sure is when the vehicle shuts off do the fuel pressure test right then it will at least confirm or eliminate if that is the problem.
ok thanks most time by the time get it off the road it will start back up
We have an 82 f150 did that we finally replaced the ignition pickup under the D-cap. Fixed!
