I am putting a new engine in my 86' Bronco II. What are my options? What is the best option?

Options are limited if you are staying stock. I would go for a "crate engine" they usually already have the engine mods done for the weak points in the 2.9 so it is just a normal engine swap. But if your looking for more output you could think about turbo charging, the little engines can handle 5psi of boost. Or get crazy and modify it for a 302 V8.
