Why is my 1989 ford bronco full size 300 4.9 , 5 speed. Jerking in 1,2,3 not in reverse. I have changed everything but the ecu.? Help

What are your codes? Have you checked the engine and tranny mounts? How is your fuel pressure and flow?

I replaced the gas tank and filter. When I try and give it gas it chokes

But sitting still it runs fine only in forward gears

Only in forward gears does it jerk

Still need codes and fuel pressure and flow.

I don't have tools to get codes sorry

Can it be the map sensor

I fixed it. Check ur fuel filter direction. It sounds stupid. My truck jerked bad because the fuel filter was on backwards
