my 2003 ford escape 3.0 6 cylinder slips in drive all other gears are fine. whats wrong?

Have you tryed flush & fill & put a new filter in it ?

The Escape's transmission doesn't have a serviceable filter. Sounds like it could be a torque convertor issue, have it looked at by a garage that speciaizes in transmissions. You might need a rebuild.
