where is the brain on an 88 bronco?

I've got an 88 bronco, wondering if its the brain causing my issues. where is it located?

Behind passenger kick panel, why to you think it is the ECM? Totall failures are rare, most problems are usually wiring problems and a large portion of those being grounds closely followed by relays.
