87 bronco 5.0 won’t start

My bronco would not start or crank. I tried
jumping the starter solenoid with screw driver
it would not crank. I replaced the solenoid it
still won’t crank when I turn the key but now
it will start when I jump the solenoid. Any
ideas??

Is this solenoid/relay under the hood on the fender lining? So you jumped the two large terminals? There should be a smaller terminal, ignition feed/crank position. If no voltage something wrong with ignition switch or that wiring circuit. I don't have wiring diagram for your model year, so I can't track it. Just my opinion.

It was the ignition switch. It started right up thank you
