Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1981 bronco 300 straight 6 with a one barrel carb, fuel pump looks new and
won't pump fuel to the carb but the truck will run only when I continuously
sprey starting fluid in the carb.

Try tapping the carb with the handle of a screwdriver, the float could be stuck

I'll try that but I don't see how that will help I have a clear fuel filter just before the carb and it doesn't even pump fuel to that filter, could tapping the carb help or could the fuel line be vacuum locked if sop how can I fix that

you can blow air into fuel tank using a shop rag to get pressure. to help get fuel to your pump/carb.
