Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced fuel filter, manual fuel pump, coil and ignitor, spark plugs. I drained the fuel tank.  Only 130,000 miles and no problems before this.

You may have an issue with your Air Flow sensor. I think that's what they called the Mass Air Flow sensor back then. Try removing it and cleaning all the contacts.

If cleaning the MAF doesn't do the trick, I would suspect a bad ignition module. I think they called them ignition control units in the older rigs.
