My Toyota pickup won't try to fire and it's a brand new engine

I just got a Toyota pickup for my birthday a
few years ago but haven't really got to
work on it much. We got it in the shop and
all put together correctly but it won't even
try to fire. It will crank but won't try to fire.
Any tips?

check for spark and fuel pressure

if it was "all put together correctly" then it would run- this is an engine with a carb, right? doesn't even have electronic engine sensors or computers to confuse you- you say it's a "brand new engine" is it really, or is it a used engine?

It is a used engine but completely rebuilt and all brand new parts. No it doesn't have a carb. And there is a lot of sensors and stuff. And it has spark and fuel pressure and has fuel all the way as well
