95 dodge dakota e. Brake light stays on

Check brake fluid level first, if full then the little switch that is attached to the park brake assembly is either damaged or thr brake cable is too loose to pull the brake actuator back far enough to turn off the light or the little switch is broken or the wiring is shorted from the little switch. HTH
