can i use dex/mer transmission fluid instead of atf+4

IVE BEEN USING DEX/MER TRANSMISSION FLUID IN MY 1995 CARAVAN BUT I WAS TOLD THIS IS WRONG. BUT CAN I ADD ATF+4 TO THE TRANSMISSION?

It is absolutely the wrong transmission fluid in the car. Go to your Mechanic and get the system flush out and have the 10-12 quarts of ATF+4 Installed. Might as well do a filter while yer at it.
