I have a 1989 Toy. MR2 S/C, in any gear stepping on the accelerator causes a thumping sound in the rear. Have had the exhaust, struts & axle checked, still can't find the problem.

Check the motor and transmission mounts, as it was built in 1989 and they are now 24 years old.
