1988 Toyota cressida alarm question

Hi, just bought a 88 Cressida, nice car... but after the battery was replaced now the alarm
goes off every time I unlock the driver door to get in.  Any ideas about how to fix this?  At
the moment I am opening the passenger door... the toyota dealer said I need a left hand
door lock assembly, no longer available, but I am hoping this has something to do with the
battery being removed... help!  tim  walters faujazzgmail.com
