I have a 88 nissan sentra stick shift... with front end jacked up, in gear, engine running, only front left tire spins, front right trys to spin but you can stop it with your foot... is this normal?
There limited slip.
It is NOT a limited slip or a posi-track. Limited slips work like this: when one wheel slips a predetermined amount the internal clutched lock and then power will flow to both wheels until equal traction is sensed then it unlocks. A posi-track is when both wheels turn at the same time at the same speed and direction. You have a standard differential in your rig, so that means if one wheel starts to slip that wheel is the only wheel that will spin, so if it gets stuck the other side will NOT kick in. Hope this clears that up.
