You should check out the many Z Forums on line...lots of people with dig. dash Z's of the same year and can help you find one (or you may be able to buy one from one of the forum members).

My 1986 Z started pulsing and would go out now and then. I took out the control box and re-soldered the contacts as recommended by San Jose Nissan where I had bout it and it has worked fine every since. Poor wave soldering seemed to be to blame. Hope this helps. Kevin
