I have a 1996 Dodge Dakota SLT with a 318 with 100,000 miles. For whatever reason, it often stalls after I first start it up. It turns over fine, but the RPMs drop like a hat even after revving the engine a for a while; however, once I get it on the open road for a few minutes I have not trouble, even when I have to idle at a stoplight. Never once has it stalled once I have it out and driving it for a few minutes without having to stop at a light or stop sign. I have put in a new fuel pump and replaced the manifold gasket. Any thoughts?
May just need the MAF sensor sprayed with CRC MAF cleaner. Throttle body & IACV May need cleaned with Throttle Body Cleaner, They have to be removed so will need those gaskets.
