dont put it in D, try 2 or 3, or reverse, will it go above 10, or be normal then?

Actually i let the car cool down... hopped back in it a couples hours later started right up and put it in reverse. Backed it out of the driveway. put it in drive and took off like normal... drove around block and seemed like nothing is wrong... so with that information what do you think?

still can be alot of things, the tranny isn't happy, and showing signs of ready to be replaced, could of been a computer glitch, or any sensor about to go bad. suggest drive it until it does it again. to prolong the life avoid long distance trips as the building of heat will cause it to go bad faster....no check engine lights?
