Why is the front end making knocking and grubbing snoises in my 97 dodge stratus?

Asked by Aug 05, 2012 at 08:57 AM about the 1997 Dodge Stratus 4 Dr ES Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving the front end squeaks and knocks, and when I turn either way it sounds like the tires are rubbing something and it knocks.

Can be any number of things in the front suspension. Wheel bearings, struts, bushings, tie rod ends or CV joints need replacement. My bet is tie rod ends, a cheap fix but you will require an alignment after replacement. Best bet is to take it into the garage and have them inspect and repair, the longer you wait the worse it will get.

I thank-you very much for your time and knowledge.
