97 Dodge Stratus won't start.

Asked by Aug 31, 2013 at 04:25 PM about the 1997 Dodge Stratus 4 Dr STD Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I'm getting no fuel pressure on my 97 dodge stratus. Could that just be my fuel filter
causing that or is it most likely the pump?

It's the pump, but if you haven't been changing the filter periodically, then the filter can get clogged up putting more strain on the fuel pump eventually burning out the fuel pump. It's always advisable to replace both when the pump fails.
