What is "1" on the dashboard next to gear indicator?

Asked by Dec 14, 2012 at 08:53 AM about the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Work Truck Crew Cab LB 4WD

Question type: General

On a new 2013 Silverado 2500HD 6.0 engine, next to the gear selection box on the right side close to "M" there is a "1".  This 1 is not an indactor for what gear you have chosen in manual mode. The manual mode gear indcator is between the M and the mysterious "1". The salesman nor the Service manager knows what it means.
