The AWD sometimes stays on, what does it mean? I don't want to get rip off
by the dealer, what is the best thing to do

Read your owners manual but it probably means the AWD is engaging due to slippery conditions.

I own a 2012. This started happening. Owners manual and on-line pundits indicate that this means the AWD is overheating and not working and should be checked out. Call my mechanic today.

2013 honda CRV The AWD light started coming on. Shut the CRV off and the light would go off. If I started it back up the light wouldn't be on but drive it just a little and it would come back on. think the AWD wasn't working either, Had the "rear Diff pressure Solenoid" replaced ($700) seemed to fix it. Took a while for the dealer to find it.

Just bought a 2012 CRV. It's winter in michigan and my AWD comes on after a few miles and stays on until I shut the car off. It comes on almost all the time, but occasionally I get through a drive with no light. Can't seem to find a pattern.
