buying a 2013 Honda CRV EX-L (64,000 kilometers) ... should I pay an extra 2,000 for the Honda dealership extended bumper to bumper warranty 5 year or 125,000 km coverage ?
Considering the purchase of an extended warranty for 2,000. Bumper to
Bumper for 5 years or 125,000 from the date I buy it.
Probably worth it, although it will expire right about the time you'll really need it (125K km).
CrVs are extremely reliable and do not call for a timing belt till 150k.. miles that being said no one can predict the future .if the warranty is Honda backed then it might be worth it. If it's a third party warfanty I think I'd take my chances on its stellar reliability and save the 2000 ..
the "wild card" is about 36km of gravel road every weekend...
Spend the.money on an after market skid/underplate. Usually about 200.usd.and a really good set of tires . Should be fine .but if it is something that will keep you up at night get the warranty . (Peace of mind is better than a sleepless night ) good luck
:-) sleep is good !
