1997 Dakota w/ 318 runs rough when cold. once it warms up it runs great. what would cause this?
Replaced map sensor, iac valve, tps sensor, new distributor, cap, rotor, wires and plugs. did a compression check 125 psi each cylander. Still runs rough when cold. After it warms up runs great. any solutions?
Put a can of SeaFoam in the fuel tank, to clean your fuel syste and injectors, they could be plugged just enough that when the computer increases the fuel mixture cold they can't open wide enough, so you get a rough running until it goes into closed loop.
I replaced all fuel injectors with new ones.
Then you need to test the sensors, it is possible that you could have some misreading values.
Which sensors? I've replaced all but o2 and coolant temp sensor.
Thanks for the help. I appreciate it
ACT, ECT, and don't forget to check the sensor grounds, if the ohms are off on the wires the ECM won't adjust properly.
Ok. I will check it out. Thanks
