Question type: General

I have a 2013 mini countryman. had some fuel problem as it wouldn't go after stopping at a traffic light, for example. I took it to a mechnic who said it was the erg problem and replaced a new erg. But then, when i took it home, the engine light came up and the mechanic couldn't get it off. I don't know what to do?

Thanks. The code is 487E Exhaust-gas recuperation value, plausibility. This is how it reads.

The problem is that even it says it is EGR problem, i just had a new one fitted in! and that was when the light came up. Please help. many thanks!

Not sure about the code you noted but if it's the fuel evap purge or vent solenoid you may need to replace one or both. A mechanic with a full lap top style Code reader can order each to work and see which is faulty
