Why has yellow engine light come on after oil and air filter changed at dealer
Had mini 2013 base convertible to dealers 2 days ago to get maintenance
service 40,000mi. Had oil change, cabin and air filters changed. Also needed
2 new tires. Drove two hours back home after that. Today my yellow check
engine light came on...not blinking. Book says possible emission problem.
Any ideas. Just blew nearly $800 to get problem I never had before.
probably just a coincidence, you will need to have the car scanned to get the code.
find a local independent bmw garage to help you out. Oil change, and filters should have ran you around $200, tires maybe $300.
Thx for responses. Tires cost $400 which included a $25 import charge for each tire...crazy. They were R16" bridgestones for goodness sakes. The other $400 was for oil change with new oil filter, a new air filter and a new cabin filter. Warranty covered burned out license plate lights. Big Deal.
