I need a midsize truck and I was really considering a new Toyota Tacoma. I was trying to weigh out the differences in the 2.7L 4-cyle. 4X4 4-speed Automatic and the 4.0L 6-cyle. 4X4 5-speed Automatic. I was considering MPG, Power, Hauling Ability, and mainly which truck had the most resonable hauling abilty and got the best MPG. If you have any advice I would greatly appreciate it. I also was wanted to know what you thought about the rust factor?
Difference between the 2 engine in MPG is negligible. You are hauling and towing, get the 4.0L V6. I'm sure they adjusted their suppliers on the frames by now to correct the rusting issues.
First answer is correct make sure you have the power you need
