13 toyota corolla several check-up lights on

Asked by Aug 23, 2016 at 02:32 PM about the 2013 Toyota Corolla L

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought a used car and don't have much
knowledge about car maintenance. Several lights
such as abs, trac off, low pressure engine oil, and
maintence required lights come on as soon as I
turn on my car and go away in a few seconds. I just
noticed this because it felt a little funny as I turned
the engine on this morning. Tire pressure light
stays on though.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell
me if I have to fix these.
Thanks!

Every time you turn on the key the systems go through a self check, if everything checks good they should go out in just a few seconds. If the tire pressure light is on then you need to check the tire pressures. If they check good and the light is still on then there is something with the TPMS, it seem a little early for a sensor to fail but anything is possible.

If the tire pressure light continues to blink, it means you have a faulty tire pressure sensor. If it blinks for a few seconds and then stays on without blinking, you have a low tire(s). I'm not sure about the Corolla. But many Toyotas also have a pressure sensor on the spare. So if you have checked the pressure on all four tires and it's still on, check the spare.
