4 wheel drive no longer engages
Could be many things like something wrong with the transfer case, broken drive shaft to the front dif, could be a broken front dif, broken axle to the front wheels or a broken front wheel hub. Good to start at the front wheel hubs and keep on all the way to the T-case.
If you use 4wd on asphalt or concrete road with no snow or ice on them you will damage the 4wd system.
Sig--I think I did,now it pops when going or stopping. WOOPS! Live and learn,SMACK ME!
I DO LOVE MY TRUCK!
Might have a borken axle, have it checked out before you damage it more.
Sigurður answered Thanks,I drove it a little today,,did not sound good! It was not in 4-wheel drive. That is why in Alabama we have 2 cars to keep one going,,U know.I wonder how much the shop--parts will cost me. DAMN! I got to have my truck!
