the right head light won't popup.

1986 300zx ,one headlight won't popup.the lights work. is this a vacuum door

That one should be electric. If you raise the hood and look at the headlight bucket you should see a little black knob, if you turn that knob the headlight door should start to rise, it could be a failed motor or the relay.

thanks ,I'll try that

OK when I turned the knob it moved a little,so removed the motor unit and when I put it back together it started to work.This is the first time the car has been started in 15 years .most have been frozen . Thank you very much for your help


It may have a bad spot in the armature and may do it again, but now you know how to get to work.
