Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 1998 Dodge grand Caravan the timing belt I
mean timing chain broke on it and I'm trying to
figure out if it is a zero tolerance motor it's a 3.3
motor in the van

Most likely it has hit the valves and unlike just towing a belt on to see if it did any damage a chain is too complicated of a job to do the same . I'd suggest have the heads checked or replace with a good used engine
