Why won't my 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500 start?

Asked by Jul 14, 2015 at 09:00 PM about the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drove it home shut it off then went out to it
a couple hours later and it wouldn't start. All
the dash lights work and everything else in
the truck had power. It shows around 13
volts on the gauge. Any help on what will fix
it is greatly appreciated!

Check your ignition fuse.

Also when you turn it on and all of the lights on the dash kick on they should shut off and if the security light is staying (some times it a key symbol or it will say security along those lines) that means it is a program issue or your ICM (Ignition Control Module)

Just a wild stab, has anybody else driven your truck lately. I let a friend drive mine, and sense there are so many buttons just for the lights, he started pushing different buttons to see what they would do. When I went to drive it, everything was not working the way it used to. I had to go thru and put things the way there were. But I also had to replace my battery,I noticed the lights really dimmed when starting so I knew my battery was going. My problem I don't drive very far and probably use more juice than what get put back. I take some long drives now and then to clear out the exhaust and put juice back in the battery.
