when is it clunking ?? just as you come to a stop ??? and did it do it right away after the valve body was replaced?? also are you the primary driver of the car?...there is a soft ware update for the PCM (power control module )for Shift Quality Improvements...do you know if it has been done?

If ur shift quality improvement has been done, there is a high possibly it is the start of a major transmittion problem. Check the fluid for colour, consistency and debris. Also check the transmittion pump it could be not supplying enough fluid during use

Thank you for the responses. Clunking occurred before and after valve body was replaced. Dealership did software updates and then outsourced to tranny shop. Clunking occurs when putting into gear and as car is downshifting when slowing down.

Ya i would say follow up with what i had mentioned its a very good possibility that it is from one of the things i mentioned i hope this helps you have a good day
the issue you are having should have been fixed with the software update the only thing I can suggest is to have the quick learn procedure done ...many times this is a step the is over looked and not performed when any trany work is done ...// it is a clutch fill program the learns the values of the clutches so the the trany knows how much pressure and fliud to apply the clutch packs...also these values can be looked at to see if there is wear or leakage to the clutches ...and its possible that the software didn't update correctly
