My 2000 Stratus wont start
3 days ago i was driving home when i start hearing this clanging sound when i
accelerate, then i noticed that my engine oil light is flashing but i had the oil changed 2
days before. so i tried to get home as safely as possible with a friend following behind
me after 15 minutes of driving my friend said he say puff of black smoke come out the
exhaust and the car died. the car was over heating as well. so i was tugged home and
i found one problem with a gas hos with a cut spraying by my #1 spark plug so i
changed the hose and plug then i tried to start the car but still wont start can anyone
does it crank and not fire or no crank at all
did you check for spark when you had it apart is your CEL on
no there isnt anything but i changed my coil but im still not getting any power
if it has a coil does it have a distributor
have you cleaned the rotor button and made sure the ignition gap is all right inside and you ignition condenser is working
sorry about that it doesnt have a distributer its a coil pack
make sure their is power at the end of the wire
is the fuse to the power distribution good
I have a 2002 Sebring with a V6. If you replace the oil filter sometimes the oil filter seal sticks to the engine and oil will leak between the new filter seal the the seal stuck to the engine. Check to see if you have oil. There is a plastic fitting at the top of the V6 with sensors on it and heater and overflow tank hoses attach to it. If it cracks and leaks you will loose your antifreeze. Check your radiator to see if you have coolant in your radiator. Also check your radiator and heater hoses for leaks.
