That video is for a 4 door sedan. I have a 5 door hacthback I tried watching it and its not helpful... thank you though

For the light blocks on the outside (i.e. not on the hatch), once the hatch is up, there are two screws that fix the block on the car. Remove them. It should loosen the block that you can gently remove from the car by pulling backward (not twisting on the side, as there is also two pins at the front of the block, that you don't want to break). Once removed the bulb can be replaced in the block. Reposition the block gently, put back the screws ... done. Now if your question related to the lights on the hatch itself, I'm still trying to figure it out. :)

2012 Kia Forte 5 door. Looking for info on how to replace bulb in the hatch. I believe the interior panel needs to be removed, that sucks.

interior panel does need to be removed. I just did it. Not a big deal though. just pull around the edges. There are many clips holding it on and they are push button clips. easy to pop off with steady force. then you have the socket right in front of you.

For me on our 2011 Forte Hatchback, it was far easier to snap out the inside panel on the hatch than it was to get the light housing out from the outside. The panel snaps back in place easily as well.
