2000 Dodge Neon Engine Problem

Water Pump went out caushing timing belt to break, fixed both now #4 Piston not working at all. Does the whole engine need to be replaced now.WTF car was running great before this happened.

Cars always run great before something breaks. SOunds like you were talking to your mechanic and he told you that you probably bent some valves, and until you take the head off you won't know about the pistons. Namely Piston #4. You don't necessarily need a new engine, just fix the parts that need replacing, but getting it fixed which is very labor intensive for less than the cost of a new engine you have to decide if you want to repair, replace the engine or purchase another car.
