Why Does my car always overheat when I'm going down the highway

I have a new thermostat and I put in
antifreeze it doesn't leak out on the ground
when I am parked but when I'm going
down the highway at least once or twice a
month it overheats and then there's no
antifreeze in it

Blown head gasket? Any whitish smoke coming out of the exhaust?
