Just turned in a 2013 Equinox LS. GM Financial charging me for excess wear because the metal on the roof is wavey where it meets the plastic. There has never been anything on the roof (no rack either)

If you don't have proof it was that way when you leased it then you are probably stuck.

Right, if it was there from day one, you should have had it fixed when you first leased the car while it was under warranty.

If you look at some new ones on the dealer lot and they have the same defect then you might have a case.
