Suburban retractable running boards

How do raise the running boards on my suburban once I get out?  Should
they go up automatically.

I would start by checking the fuse ( should be listed in the owners manual the size and location. If that checks out as good try checking the door switch itself as it could be damaged or malfuctioning.

Oh and yes they should go up automatically when all doors are closed.

Yes, cold weather defintly can effect a cars electronics.
