Something draining battery

Battery is fine starter is fine alternator is fine still my car won’t start without a boost

If you are interested in finding out the issue, eliminate the problem by removing half of the fuses if you can let it sit for the time frame that will drain the battery. Before you do all this, 1st check your trunk light and make sure it is off when you shut the lid by folding the back seat, or someone has to craw in the trunk. 2nd, check your alternator charging.

How do u check the alternator charge

To the guru above. Use a multi meter and check the charging voltage at the battery posts when the engine is running. You should see 13.5 to 14.5 volts or something close to these numbers. Lower or higher indicates a problem.

I got a 14.5 reading what else could it be

KIA SORENTO BATTERY DRAIN PROBLEM SOLVED!!!..we purchased a 2011 Sorento with only 20,00 miles which is a rarity in my opinion and wondered why a new car was driven SO little...well...after several random dead batteries...some even draining while the car was running..I researched and tested and inspected and went to dozens of repair shops and picked the brains of several certified top notch mechanics on the internet and in real life before ACCIDENTALLY solving the problem... apparently the POSITIVE TERMINAL on certain year KIA- HYUNDAI VEHICLE IS SLIGHTLY LARGER THAN STANDARD TERMINALS ON REPLACEMENT BATTERIES... THIS RESULTS IN THE TERMINALS LOOSENING WHEN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT HEATS UP!! THIS PROBLEM,, (AND THE INTERNET SAYS THERE ARE HUNDREDS) CAN BE SOLVED FOR UNDER 4 Dollars BY A SIMPLY PURCHASING A BATTERY TERMINAL SLEEVE OR CAP... BASICALLY A THIMBLE LOOKING LEAD COVER THAT SLIDES OVER TOP THE TERMINAL..YOU THEN PRY OPEN THE TERMINAL AND TIGHTEN ...THE PROBLEM HAS NOT HAPPENED SINCE...IT WAS SUCH A CONCERN THAT SELLING THE CAR WAS A CONSIDERATION...I WOULD THINK THIS WILL SOLVE A GOOD NUMBER OF THE SIMILAR PROBLEMS IVE SEEN WHILE RESEARCHING MY DILEMMA...GOOD LUCK!

And got Kia Optima 2016 plug in hybrid They don’t get plugged in charge at all put for 12 hours still show on screen it is zero milage

I had the same problem, each cold snap the battery the car would need a jump start. Yesterday i was driving and all the dash lights came on. I drove to a-zone, popped the hood and the positive battery terminal was loose . I had previously replaced the battery with one slightly smaller so i attributed it to that and bought shims, took the battery in for a recharge and waited an hour and it wouldn't take a charge. I bought a new battery, and drove home went out the next day and on a five mile trip it happened again. At that point i figured it was the alternator and it was tested and verified the the alternator needs to be replaced. I know for a fact there is a lot of electronics in the Sorento. Great car, I'd purchase another, but now I'm swapping out the alternator. thanks for the inspiration.
