I found a car on cargurus I was interested in and went by the dealership. The car was listed as having the highest option package (ultra luxury) but in reality was only a luxury edition. The odometer has 5,000 miles more than advertised (no car gets test driven 5k miles) and was missing several options/features specifically identified in the ad. How do I report this misrepresentation?

2013 Lexus es350 listed by VW of South Charlotte in Charlotte NC.
Listed as Ultra Luxury Edition (which is the most expensive model with
features not found on the premium or luxury editions)  but it clearly isn't as
it lacks any of the features that come standard on the ultra luxury model.
Also absent were the ambient lighting and 6 disk changer advertised (the
cd changer isn't even available on ES-350 models equipped with
Navigation). I checked the car in person to verify there wasn't an
aftermarket changer installed. Additionally, the car has 5,000 + miles more
than advertised. I can understand a few hundred but 5,000 is flat out
deceit. I resent the blatant misrepresentations and went to leave dealer
feedback so others would be forewarned and cannot b/c I did not contact
them through the cargurus website (where the discrepancies wouldn't have
been evident anyway). I would assume you would encourage users to
report such deceptive advertising since your reputation hangs in the
balance.

Things like that happen all the time and no real way to police it. It's good that you did your research and you know not to buy a car from that lot. Time to move on to the next one.
