How do you add Navigation to a 2013 SRX with CUE?
I have a luxury AWD 2013 SRX with CUE that doesn't have navigation installed. How do I go about buying and installing a navigations system
There is separate factory wiring for that option. Probably unable to go to Cadillac for an 'add-on" upgrade. Check with your Cadillac dealer to confirm this. The other choice would be to replace the entire unit with a Kenwood, Pioneer or similar system that has everything from HD radio and Satellite to Navigation. Dash kits would make it look identical to a factory installation. The downside however is that while nice - it is an expensive alternative. A stand alone Navigation system is most likely the lowest cost and best alternative. When you sell the car - just take off the Nav unit. Also, as a side note --- Cadillac Navigation DO NOT have lifetime updates such as stand alone units. Hope this helps
The Nav system on my Avalanche sucks, kinda like the CUE system does. I bought a good standalone system by Garmin and keep it in the console. I get it out when needed and it's far and away better then anything GM offers.
Buy an HMI 2.0 Module with Navigation. Get it programmed for the proper firmware for your vehicle and vin unlock. Swap out the old module
