Knocking and squeaking?

Asked by Oct 25, 2013 at 11:59 AM about the 2001 Dodge Stratus SE Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus. If I'm
accelerating or pushing the brakes
my car doesn't make the noises (
most of the time). It tends to do it
consistently when I am coasting and
when i turn the wheel. I can feel the
knock through the floorboard. And
I'm pretty sure the squeak and
knocking must be related.

Also, the knocking is very fast increasing with speed

sounds like you have a half shaft bad that is the axle that drives the front tires..
