Recently bought new tires for 2013 Honda Accord Sedan. Had front tires aligned, but was told that rear tires could NOT be aligned because they have no camber arms. Are camber s necessary to re-align?
It is possible. Some vehicles do not have any provision for rear tire alignment. My '08 Grand Marquis does not but my '94 Escort Wagon did. Just depends on the vehicle. HTH. -Jim
To realign a car you have to have the adjustments for both Camber and caster. When the adjustment is not possible/available, it means the angle of the wheels are factory set in the design angles of the non adjustable wheel/axel. Some cars have 4 wheel alignments and some have only 2 wheel alignments. If your rear is wearing strangely you will need to rplace part(s) of that axel or possibly have some frame straightening done.
