2012 KIA Optima hybrid care in park takes off

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello,
I have a 2012 KIA optima hybrid. Recently I had an accident involving my
vehicle. My vehicle was parked in someones drive way I left the vehicle on
and put it in park to get out and grab something I was purchasing. During
that time WHILE the vehicle was still in park it accelerated and rammed into
the persons garage. I have the person as a witness stating that she saw that
the vehicle was in park and  after I backed out of the garage and put the
vehicle back in park; I then got out of the vehicle to give the woman the rest
of my insurance information and the car began to accelerate and pull while
in park once more. To stop it I had to completely shut the vehicle
off.Contacted KIA corporate, brought my vehicle in to local KIA country. KIA
country was not allowed to touch the vehicle. Corporate sent an inspector to
the kia country. While my vehicle was at kia country corporate did an
UNAUTHORIZED engine update eng132 update. After finding this out I
contact kia corporate whom says that they did not update my vehicle and
that it was kia country and to contact the dealership directly. Like suggested
I contacted the local dealership and they confirmed what I already knew that
they were not allowed to touch the vehicle and that corporate was the one
who did the unauthorized vehicle update. After all this they are still saying
they could not duplicate it so that means there is nothing wrong with the
vehicle. Why would they update my vehicle without contacting me for
authorization and why would corporate  blame the dealership when it was
them who did the update. Corporate even told me that what was done was
illegal. Has anybody else experienced something like this?
Thank you,
Heather
