If you want a very white light you can put in an HID conversion kit, otherwise you can just purchase a bright white replacement lamp for your vehicle, most parts stores will most likely have these in stock, and some will even install them for you. No you will not have to re-aim them.

There are many HID halogen bulbs out there, or like Sylvania Silverstar at any auto parts store just look up your make & model or ask the man behind the counter. 4200 is the brightest white. And be sure NOT to touch the bulbs with your fingers the oil on your skin will cause them to burn out. I (my wife's smaller hands) put 4200's in our Civic.
