My Malfunction indicator light came on. In the past ive usually known this light to be the

A common issue in the 2012 and the 2013 Elantra is the oxygen sensors in the vehicle. This will cause the check engine light to come on and stay on for a while (like 3 days) and then reset. Another common issue is that the vehicle can be prone to cylinder misfires. Get it to a dealer, where it should be covered under warranty.
