I have a 01 dakota 4x4 the front diff. Broke all to hell on me can i gut it and make it 4x2 untill i get the money to fix it. Are do i half to keep the axles n the wheel hub to hold the bearings?

Dejavu!!! Did the pinon break off? You'll need the stubs. Either take your cv's apart or go to the wreckers and grab a set to gentally mutilate. If you cut both bands carefully you can slide the boot off, pull the outer ball bearings and dis-assemble the cv. Just make sure you load it with grease so that it doesn't rust before you fix the diff.
