Brake lights

Asked by Aidan May 29, 2018 at 03:42 PM about the 2001 Dodge Caravan SE FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My brake lights are not working, my hazard flashers and turn signal functions work, but no brake lights, as well as my top center brake light on my tailgate works when the brake switch is activated. Wondering wear the issue may lie as it isn't a fuse, and I just replaced the brake light switch. Where is the most common place for wires to have issues, (i.e. near tail light housing, or under steering column) want to find the best plan of attack to fix this.

I know this may said crazy but try replacing the bulbs the brake light element in the bulbs may just be blown seen it happen many time you have one brake bulb go out with out knowing then the other one goes out and it seems like you have no brake lights but just the brake element in bulbs are out.
