2002 dodge stratus 2.7 won't start with the camshaft position sensor connected BUT it will start with the camshaft position sensor disconnected . The camshaft sensor its new i got it from Autozone

You may want to pull sensor back out and inspect the end of the sensor for metal debris.

There is a magnet inside of the sensor. Metal debris will cause it to not read. Sensory be bad as well. I've had problems with aftermarket sensors in the past.
