What would happen if you have to much transmission fluid?

Dodge stratus won't run over 30 mph

Too much fluid will cause the fluid to foam and the car won't shift right. Did you over fill the trans? Sounds like your car is in "Limp Mode", your car is protecting the transmission, probably a solenoid? Have the car scanned for codes to determine the issue. It could also be clogged cats, but have the car checked out before replacing anything.

I am also needing help on my transmission. I just bought a new car and I need to get the fluid changed. I am also having a hard time shifting. Is there something else I should check? http://www.prautomotive.com.au/mechanical.html
